Humanities with alex sanchez
In Alex Sanchez' humanities class, we learn all sorts of things. Everything from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar's historical significance to how to structure a sentence to be grammatically correct.
We write essays, make projects, and have fun!
Below the cut are the projects we did in this class.

Wwii simulation
In the beginning of the year, Alex assigned us all different countries that were involved in World War II to simulate and interact with other countries to either reenact WWII or make our own outcomes.
I was assigned the Netherlands with my partner, Holland. (I know, funny, right?) We tried to create a truce with Germany by giving them chocolate, a popular Netherlands treat, to keep them away from us and their alliances. In the end, they betrayed our alliance and attacked us, but we had a secret alliance with some other countries that helped protect us from Germany. By the time WWII ended, everyone hated Germany just as much as we did.
We learned from this project how pressured and terrible all of the world must've felt throughout the war, and it really put us in the moment of the war. It was a great experience, and at the end of the project, all the countries came together and shared food from our country. We handed out chocolate letters - a Netherlands holiday treat!

Non-profit organization project
I was partnered with my BFF Holland again for this project, and together, we chose the Wadding Dog Rescue, a NPO (as we called it) based around saving dogs around San Diego from abuse and other bad situations.
Throughout this project, we called and e-mailed the organization in an effort to get ahold of them and get more information from them. We had their website and used as much information as we could, while also advertising the dogs listed for adoption on their website.
WDR takes dogs from shelters and situations where they're be euthenised and puts them into foster care with families and possibly other dogs. They live there until another happy family decided to adopt them, or until their foster family takes them home forever! They constantly have dogs coming and going, and dogs are always up for adoption, when we had our exhibition with the billboard we made with information all about the organization, we exhibited some of the dogs for adoption as well.
